The reason for this was the soil and climate here. But now the farmers here are paying special attention to horticulture and cash crops along with traditional farming to strengthen their income. This is the reason why farmers have started working on the cultivation of those crops which seemed impossible to grow according to the climate. Yes! We are talking about lemon gardening. Now the farmers here have started earning sweet profits from sour lemon gardening. Once its plants grow, they bear fruits for many years. Lemon cultivation is a high-profitable crop with low expenditure.

Farmer Uday Singh told Local 18 Bihar that in the year 2020, a boy from Punjab told him about huge income from lemon gardening. After hearing the news of earning thousands from one tree, he also decided to do lemon farming. After this, for the first time in the year 2021, Kaggi lemon gardening was started in one acre. He says that the lemon started bearing fruit two years after planting the tree. Gradually he started expanding the scope of gardening.

Income of more than 6 lakhs from 3 acres
He told that now he is gardening in 3 acres. During this period an expenditure of up to Rs 1 lakh was incurred. Farmer Uday Singh told that the lemon tree gives fruits for 20 years. One tree produces about 25 to 30 kg of fruit. Every 6 months, scabies, insecticide spray and weeding have to be done. Farmer Uday Singh believes that lemon can be easily grown in almost all types of soils. They are also cultivating paper lemon by bringing saplings from Punjab. It has two varieties Pusa Udit and Pusa Abhinav. They say that they sell lemons worth more than Rs 3 lakh in 6 months. In this situation, the annual income is Rs 6 lakh. He has planned to do gardening in 7 acres in future.
